Get answers to common questions about Half Leg Wax.
Most clients enjoy smooth legs for three to six weeks, depending on hair growth cycles, hormones, and care. Regular waxing can gradually extend time between appointments by weakening follicles, while individual results may vary.
Trim hairs to about a quarter-inch if they’re too long, avoid shaving, and exfoliate 24–48 hours before. Don’t use retinoids or heavy creams on the day of waxing and inform us of any medications.
Some discomfort is normal, especially on first visits, but technicians use fast, precise pulls and calming products. Apply a mild painkiller beforehand if needed, and regular waxing usually becomes less painful over time.
Optimal hair length is about a quarter-inch (6 mm). If hair is shorter than this, waxing may not grip; if much longer, we can trim it to the ideal length before starting for best results.
Avoid hot baths, saunas, heavy exercise, and sun exposure for 24–48 hours. Use gentle exfoliation after 48 hours and hydrate skin with fragrance-free lotion. Contact us if you notice persistent redness, swelling, or ingrown hairs.
Waxing is generally safe during pregnancy, though extra sensitivity may occur; consult your doctor if concerned. Disclose medications like blood thinners, Accutane, or topical retinoids, since some drugs can increase risks or prevent waxing.
